                                                                                        President’s Welcome

 

The CUWC Executive Board and I extend our warmest welcome to the 2026-2027 Clemson University Woman’s Club. It is my delight, honor, and privilege to serve as your president for the upcoming year.

 

        “The history of Clemson is unique. When you look at the overall situation, there is no other institution ever                  created in the manner that Clemson University was created. There is a spirit here; the Clemson spirit. It is i.                intangible, but once it gets you, it gets in the marrow of your bone.”

These words were spoken by our beloved President, Dr. Robert C. Edwards (Class of ’33)

This spirit has motivated women since 1916 to form a social club where they work diligently to serve and support Clemson University and our surrounding areas. Many remarkable women over the years have exhibited this spirit by hosting monthly luncheons with featured programs, providing active members opportunities to participate in varied interest groups, and donating to the Clemson University Scholarship Endowment Fund. Our current balances as of this summer are:

Endowment Corpus: $118,013.21

Endowment Appreciation: $101,233.14

Total Endowment value: $219,246.35

 In 2026, our club’s efforts raised an amazing $11,307.84 for the Clemson Foundation. They were thrilled to accept our Scholarship Funds to support our Clemson undergraduates!

We look forward to another exciting year of working together to carry on these rich traditions with “The Clemson Spirit!”
